Zheng Shan Xiao Zhong, also known as Lapsang Souchong Tea, is one of the oldest black teas in the world and the originator of all black teas. Grown exclusively in the Tongmu Village of Wuyi Mountain, Fujian Province, this tea is crafted using traditional methods that impart a unique longan fruit aroma and a distinctive pinewood smokiness. The tightly rolled, jet-black leaves brew into a bright orange-yellow liquor with a rich, sweet, and mellow flavor, complemented by a lingering high-mountain charm.

Exclusive Origin & Authenticity

Lapsang Souchong Tea(zheng shan xiao zhong) is cultivated in the Wuyi Mountain Natural Reserve, a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its pristine environment and fertile soil. The name “Zheng Shan” (meaning “original mountain”) signifies its authentic origin, limited to Tongmu Village and surrounding areas with the same altitude and traditional production techniques. This tea is made from small-leaf tea varieties, handpicked and processed using centuries-old methods, including withering, rolling, oxidation, and smoking over pinewood fires.

Brewing Recommendations

To fully enjoy Lapsang Souchong Tea, use a 110ml white porcelain gaiwan and 5g of tea leaves. Heat water to 90–100°C and pour it to 80% of the gaiwan’s capacity. Steep the first infusion for 5 seconds, gradually increasing the steeping time by 5–15 seconds for subsequent brews (2–4 infusions: 5–10 seconds; after the 4th infusion: adjust based on taste). This method ensures a balanced extraction of its longan sweetnesssmoky aroma, and mellow texture.
